What is Ovagen?
Ovagen is one of the short peptide bioregulators developed by Vladimir Khavinson’s group in St. Petersburg and is usually listed as the tripeptide Glu-Asp-Leu. Catalogues do not agree on its target tissue, with some linking it to the ovaries and others to the liver and digestive tract.
How it is understood to work
It is proposed, like the rest of the family, to influence gene expression through interaction with chromatin. No specific receptor has been identified, and the model has not been widely tested outside the originating group.
Research status
Research is limited, preclinical and mostly published in Russian-language sources. There are no controlled human trials, so claims about reproductive or digestive effects are unproven.

Handling & storage
